The celebrated midtown restaurant kicked off Black History Month by curating a series of recordings honoring Heroes of Houston’s Black History. On hand were Magic 102 radio and legendary DJ Skipper Lee Frazier. Here are the photos.

Cameras will roll at Pizzitola’s
The Cooking Channel’s cameras will be rolling Sunday at Pizzitola's Bar-B-Cue. The restaurant normally closed is on Sundays but will be open for family and friends when an episode of Road Trip Texas with Chef G. Garvin will be filmed.

...Foodies take note. The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, is screening El Bulli: Cooking in Progress this weekend and next.
Helmed by Chef Feran Adria, who oversaw a team of more than 40 chefs, El Bulli was regarded by many to be the best restaurant in the world. Located in Roses, Spain, it served a 30-plus-course menu with one seating each evening. The restaurant closed July 30, 2011.
